The Putumayo basin is an under-explored area as many discoveries are a one-well field.
Structural plays in the basin are very similar to the plays in which important oil accumulations have been found across the border in Ecuador, where there are five giant fields with significant 2P reserves.

Reservoirs are early Cretaceous Caballos sandstones and intra-formational sandstones of the Villeta Fm (N, U, T sandstones).
We have exploration interest in six blocks, in association with GeoPark. Our blocks are on trend with the most prolific fields and recent discoveries across the border in the Oriente basin (Ecuador).
